Merry Christmas St. Louis Rams Fans

Merry Christmas St. Louis Rams Fans. The St. Louis Rams have already given each fan two great gifts this holiday season by removing John Shaw and Jay Zygmunt from positions of power within the Rams organization. By this Sunday evening I would like two additional gifts which will be the firing of Jim Haslett and Al Saunders. This wish however probably will not happen until Billy Devaney decides their fate.

This past Monday, Jay Zygmunt, the president of Rams football operations and GM, resigned. This was a move that was long overdue. The Rams are 5-26 over their last 31 games and it was time for a change.

On Christmas Eve President John Shaw resigned. Player personnel guru Billy Devaney was then promoted to GM of the St. Louis Rams. Shaw left after 29 years of service with the Rams, and his time was up. Devaney will now be in charge of all football decisions, including selecting a head coach moving forward. All of which should bring clarity to free agency and the 2009 NFL Draft since he seems to have a vision of where the Rams are heading. Hopefully for once Rams management will all be on the same page.

We would like to thank Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez for what needs to be step one in a process to turn the Rams franchise around.
