Recently I was able to get my hands on a very intriguing piece of literature entitled Game Plan For Life by none other than the historic coach Joe Gibbs. In this novel, you’ll find no wizadry, intense action sequences, or thrillers. No, instead you’ll find 100% real life experiences and beliefs. Throughout the book, Gibbs manages to keep you hooked through interesting tale after interesting tale and the book also presents you with a certain in depth view of a football locker room that can be provided by none other than a historic coach such as Joe Gibbs.
To sum it [...]

The Rams looked great in their third preseason game and they were able to beat the Cincinatti Bengals 24-21. The starters looked very sharp, especially on the defensive side as they held the Cincinatti Offense to 7 points in the first half (The other 7 coming on a blown special teams punt coverage). Lets take a look at the winners and losers of the game:
Winners
RB Samkon Gado: Gado continued his roller coaster preseason with a solid game. Gado ran for a touchdown and added a 2 yard touchdown reception.
QB Kyle Boller: Boller made a giant step today in [...]
Rams vs. Bengals Tonight!
Usually in the third preseason game, the first stringers receive a large amount of playing time and go over several “vanilla” style playbook calls. Well tonight should be no exception, except when it comes to the QB and WR position.
QB Marc Bulger remains out with a fractured pinky, although he should be able to come back next week or the week after at the latest. This gives backups Kyle Boller, Brock Berlin, and Keith Null plenty of opportunity once again to show that they deserve the backup role. All three have had their high and low points, but this [...]
Welcome Back Avery
Donnie Avery returned to practice today, which was huge news considering he was considered to be out for at least 4 more weeks.
Avery stated that there was “zero-doubt” he would be available for the season opener at Seattle.
This news comes as a huge relief for Rams’ fans everywhere. It establishes a number one receiver, and immediately give the Rams new life and more playbook options on offense. WR Laurent Robinson appears to be emerging as the No. 2 receiver with back to back big games. This however does not mean the receiving competition is over. With several other [...]
Lately the Rams have literally had nothing to really report about. Honestly. This is not some scheme I am pulling to be a lazy blogger, there just literally has been a giant lack of injuries, fights, breaking news, and transactions. Here are some of the few updates that have come out of practice over the last week or so:
-The Rams have officially announced that training camp is over. For now on, in the words of Allen Iverson “We’re talking about practice!”
-DT Adam Carriker is slowly recovering from his sprained ankle as he began participating in drills [...]
Rams Fall to Falcons
The Rams’ defense stumbled out of the gates and the offense could not make up the gap as the Rams lost to the Falcons 20-13.
Matt Ryan, Tony Gonzalez, and Michael Turner teamed up to torch the Rams for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns, all coming in the 1st quarter. With that said, lets take a look at the winners and losers of this game.
Winners
OLB Larry Grant: Grant ended up with a terrific stat line. He had 4 tackles, including 1 sack and 1 Forced fumble.
MLB James Laurinaitis: The rookie established himself as a playmaker, picking off a DJ Shockley [...]
Come On Gado!!
Here are a few quick updates from the Rams vs. Falcon game. I am posting this during the 3rd quarter with 6 minutes left in the game.
RB Samkon Gado has turned it around in the worst way. After being a human highlight reel last week in New York, Gado has taken a giant step backwards with a 12 carries for 5 yards performance highlighted by a fumble. This is not to say he is being outdone. Steven Jackson has 3 carries for 10 yards while Antonio Pittman has 3 carries for 2 yards. The leading rusher right now? QB [...]
Rams vs. Falcons: Preview
Let me start out by saying I am sorry for the delay between posts. I spent the last day or so moving into my dorm room at Cal State Fullerton, so I didn’t have much spare time, but I’m back and ready to bring a quick preview for the Rams vs. Falcon game coming up this weekend.
Rams Vs. Falcons

The Rams enter this game with several position battles taking place. The most intriguing one remains the battle for receiver, although the battle for backup runningback is emerging as something to keep your eye on as well. [...]
QB Marc Bulger suffered a “small fracture” on his pinky finger during a center exchange this morning and will miss at least two weeks. The injury is in fact on his throwing hand and it leaves the Rams with QB Kyle Boller as the starter for the next two preseason games.
Thankfully its the preseason, or else you’d probably see a lot more negativity and a few more exclamation points in this post. Bulger should recover nicely and be back in time for the final preseason game, although I’m sure the Rams would be willing to have him miss [...]
At approximately 11 am Friday morning, I was finally able to get my hands on a copy of Madden 10. Sure I could have just played an hour or so then thrown up some un-intelligible review, but that just wouldn’t be my style. Instead, I bought a bag of my favorite brand of chips, picked up a few Red Bulls and vowed to play Madden 10 until my eyelids refused to stay open any longer.
Of course this weekend had a few interruptions, such as shopping for college and going to the movies, but never-the-less, I’m going to bring [...]
