Donnie Avery returned to practice today, which was huge news considering he was considered to be out for at least 4 more weeks.
Avery stated that there was “zero-doubt” he would be available for the season opener at Seattle.
This news comes as a huge relief for Rams’ fans everywhere. It establishes a number one receiver, and immediately give the Rams new life and more playbook options on offense. WR Laurent Robinson appears to be emerging as the No. 2 receiver with back to back big games. This however does not mean the receiving competition is over. With several other receivers such as Keenan Burton, Nate Jones, Derek Stanley, and Brooks Foster competing for a spot, continue to keep an eye on the receivers over the rest of the preseason.
