Here’s What We’re Looking at for the 49ers’ Game

Sorry for the long delays in posts everyone. College mid-terms you know?

-Linebacker David Vobora, who made headlines for going from being Mr. Irrelevant to the starting linebacker for the St. Louis Rams has had his career take a very unfortunate turn of events.  This week, Vobora was suspended for 4 games without pay for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.  This was tough to hear because I had really been cheering for Vobora to do well along with the rest of the Rams fans everywhere.

Donnie Avery received X-rays on his ribs that came back negative.  He should be good to go this weekend for the very thin St. Louis Rams receiver lineup.

-OL Jason Smith has been upgraded injury wise, but is not expected to par-take in this week’s game.  He is much further ahead of schedule than the Rams planned though, so expect him to be back soon.

-QB Marc Bulger is expected to sit on the bench this week due to his injury sustained during the Packer game.  QB  Kyle Boller has been receiving all the reps throughout practice this week.

-Overall, this should be a great game.  With the Rams improving every week and the 49ers turning into one of the league’s top half teams, I can’t wait to see how the Rams compare.  If Kyle Boller can continue to play consistently, the Rams have a shot.  Steven Jackson is starting to turn into a terrific leader for a team that needs one badly and if he can put this team on his back, I have a good feeling about this week.
