To all my readers, my fellow bloggers here in the Fansided network, and all who happen to cast their eyes upon this page, I wish you a happy and safe Thanksgiving. I want you all to consume so much turkey that you’re far more worried about making it to the bathroom in time rather than worrying about the Rams record.
Your writer and fellow Rams fan,

Happy Thanksgiving To All
Is there no justice in this football world? For the past couple seasons all of us Rams fans have sat here and groned over the struggles of QB Marc Bulger. Lately though, guess what? He wasn’t struggling so much. In fact, he was showing signs of the Bulger of old, but was held back due to a young and inexperienced receiving core.
This has more than likely all come to an end, at least for this season. Bulger has been diagnosed with a fractured leg that will hold him out as long as six weeks. Even if he is healthy in [...]
Rams Tumble Against Arizona
The Breakdown
The Rams could not overcome an aweful first half that saw them go down 21-3 heading into halftime, thanks to incredible passing by Kurt Warner and less than stellar tackling by the defensive unit. The game started out well, with the Rams recovering a fumble deep in Arizona territory, but they could only manage a field goal, and it was all downhill from there. Marc Bulger fumbled twice, threw an interception, and the offense struggled to put a whole lot of points on the board. Steven Jackson struggled to get in going early, but he ended with another strong [...]
Burton Out For Year, Kent Signed
WR Keenan Burton is out for the season with an injured knee, making the Rams even thinner at the receiver position. Burton joins Brooks Foster and Laurent Robinson on the injured receiver list, opening the door for rookie Brandon Gibson.
To replace Burton, the Rams have signed Jordan Kent to a contract. Kent is a 6′4 receiver originally drafted in 2007 by the Seahawks. Kent could bring solid size to a generally small receiving corp, but I wouldn’t imagine that he would make an immediate impact.
In other news, there still isn’t much word on whether G Richie Incognito will be back [...]
Rams Lose Close One
The Breakdown
In what was the most impressive offensive performances the Rams have put up all season, they just missed out on pulling off the biggest upset all year as the Rams fell to the Saints 28-23. Marc Bulger was impressive and statwise he outperformed his counterpart Drew Brees, throwing for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns. Steven Jackson had a huge first half, rushing for 1 touchdown and 100 yards, but struggled against an adjusted defense in the second half and finished with 131 yards. Donnie Avery had a big game, grabbing two touchdown passes to go along with 67 yards.
Welcome [...]
In case you didn’t hear, during the Bengals vs. Ravens game yesterday, there was a slightly controversial moment. With the Bengals winning 17-0, the refs went to review one of Chad Ochocinco’s catches when the receiver went to the sideline, grabbed a dollar from one of the assistants, and walked towards the refs in a joking attempt to bribe them. Keep in mind he walked over there with a single dollar, rather than a check for $1,000.
Personally, I thought the gesture was hilarious. Anyone who finds this as disrespectful to the game or just overall embarrasing should realize that [...]
News of the Bye Week
As most bye weeks go, this week was generally very quiet and soothing for a St. Louis Rams team coming off a win against the Detroit Lions. Here are a few notes of the events of the past week:
-Hope you didn’t get used to seeing WR Tim Carter around. The Rams waved Carter and signed CB Danny Gorrer off of the Saints’ practice squad.
-G Jacob Bell received great news. He was able to pass his concussion test and will be fine to go next week against the Saints.
-G Richie Incognito, who has been missing severe time lately, was finally able [...]
With the season being officially halfway over for the St. Louis Rams, now would be a good time to step back and evaluate how the Rams have fared this season in terms of progress. Lets take a look at each position:
Quarterbacks:
Marc Bulger has played well at times, and has played aweful at other times. For the most part he has done as much as he can with a group of rotating receivers and tight ends, but it would be nice to see him overachieve for a change. During the Lions game, Bulger scrambled on a 3rd and 6 play. [...]
The Breakdown
The Rams used a beautiful fake field goal, hard running by Steven Jackson, and a strong second half defensive performance to pull out a 17-10 win against the Detroit Lions. Jackson went into the game knowing he needed to put the team on the back if he wanted a win, and did he ever. He ran for 149 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown. His first touchdown run of the season, which consisted of him dodging not only tacklers, but a referee as well, came very late in the fourth quarter and put the Lions in a very [...]
