Justin...
Let me begin by saying that I love Sam Bradford, so I might not be quite as objective as some. :) I have never gotten the impression that he would rather be doing something else instead of an interview, although, as Sooner4eva pointed out, it isn't his favorite passtime. I'm sure he genuinely appreciates the interest in the team and in him as a member of the team, and he knows it comes with the territory. He does sound tired in this one, and I'm sure the break and getting to be home for a little while will do wonders for him even though, as he said, he'll never be far from his playbook. Just wait till the season starts and we win some games...he'll definitely be excited...along with the rest of us (grin)! Go Rams...go Sammy B!

I listened to the interview and my take...... Sam doesn't like interviews much. I am impresssed with how focused and disciplined he is. And his take on the money and contract is amazing as I'm sure most millionaire QB's would have bought a BMW, Rolex or something. Not Sam, he knows it won't help his football so he just doesn't care about the money. As for not having to work, I'm a parent of an athlete who gets very good grades, and competes year round, that is a job. Sam sounds like a humble guy but I sensed you got under his skin a little with the BYU question, not sure why that question came up, how many times does he have to talk about that hit. As a fan, I would rather hear about the present and what he is doing than the past, who cares? I heard Sam on a couple radio interviews, he is funny and has a great sense of humor, too bad that didn't come out. Also the stuff about Mizzou and getting their butts kicked by OU, thats old news too and Sam is a Ram now, was all that necessary?? The person interviewing holds some accountability to how the interviewer is responding and the overall tone that is set. Some of the questions were just lame. On another note, Sam sounds a little homesick or tired, someone needs to hook him up and help him out a little. Poor guy obviously doesn't like going home to an empty house. Those would be great questions...... makin a love connection for Sam!!! Just my thoughts..... Go Rams!
