Good analysis there, Betty. I agree with you about Saffold, but give him some time. He is still a rookie, and I think we can all agree that he has the physical tools to be very good. As he gets more experience, the confidence will be there.

Betty White here. Very exciting game from the younsters last night. Very impressed with illini Mike, Bradford, Long, all DBs (especially Fletcher). Now my disappointments, Darby is absolute garbage, Avery going down hurts, and wasn’t too impressed with stafford. We have to go get a #2 Rb, how about Maroney? He’s a STL guy n prob wouldnt cost too much. We still need a #1 WR (this was needed before avery went down), I know we can’t trade away many of our draft picks but it would be nice to see us make a big move to help bradford. And was it just me or is does safford look nervous out there? He can’t block much when the pass rusher goes outside. I think a lil more aggression would help him a lot (hopefully this doesn’t open up the inside tho bc that would be even worse) Safford did one power hit to the outside guy, then just let him go. He needs to take on that pass rusher
