San Francisco has the 20th ranked pass defense in the league. If the Rams can establish a running game early and protect the QB, Bradford may be able to exploit a few openings in the secondary.
Also, St. Louis ranks 10th in the league defending the pass during road games. While Troy Smith is mobile and may offer some challenges as somewhat of a run-pass, dual threat, the Rams have a great opportunity to exploit some potential mistakes coming from a QB who has started 1 game this season and then took a week of vacation during the bye week instead of staying at the training facility watching video or studying the playbook.
My biggest concern for the Rams is their record on the road in general. 3 of their 4 losses on the season are road games. And while playing at Candlestick, the Rams are 1-4 in the last 5 games against the 49ers.
The Rams entered the bye week 3-2 over the last 5 games. Week 10 is a great opportunity to keep the momentum going and push ahead in the NFC West.
