Santonio was traded to the Jets last year and it was just one season after being Super Bowl MVP. Which the Jets signed a lot of free agents and did a lot of trading. As NFL fans we have had to endure much this offseason with the lockout, but I can’t ever remember being as disappointed in news as I was tonight. According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, HBO has canceled it’s TV show Hard Knocks for the upcoming season. Larry Fitzgerald is under his last year in his contract. What does that mean? He might resign or be traded. Because we all know that the Cardinals isn’t going to release him. Well, it’s finally official. The NFL has canceled the Hall of Fame game between the Rams and Chicago Bears, making it the first real casualty of the lockout. I’ve believed for some time that this game wouldn’t take place, and as disappointed as I am that we have to wait that much longer to see the Rams take the field, the person I really feel bad for is Marshall Faulk. In this moment of quandary between the NFL and NFLPA, it’s somewhat difficult to refrain from pulling out every strand of hair on your head. The media all but promised both sides would agree upon a new CBA by tonight, which meant the unrivaled intensity and admiration of American football would be restored as the NFL once again opened its doors. Today is the day.  NFL do-or-die.  Owners and player reps are in Atlanta discussing and voting on the ratification of the new CBA deal that is on the table.
