WR Donnie Avery Back in Practice

As noted before, my niche when it comes to football is the receiver position.  I know it pretty well.  I know what qualities make a good player at the position.  This guy – Donnie Avery – as those qualities.  So when I heard he was participating in practice today, I was glad; this dude can finally showcase what he is all about!

There have been many people – who are not really qualified, by the way – that have written Avery off.  That is downright ridiculous! In his two seasons played (he was on IR last year), Avery averaged over 12 yards per catch ( 12.7 & 12.5).  Those are pretty good numbers considering the fact that:

A) He was the 3rd receiver his rookie year

B) He had abominable QB play in his 2nd year

I’m a huge Donnie Avery supporter and I am glad he is now healthy enough to participate in team activities and display his assets.  Plus, the knee injury has not affected his sub 4.3 40- speed!
