Rams Getting Healthier

Thursday was a good day at Rams practice for several reasons, but the thing that really stands out is the fact that several guys who have been banged up were back on the field in different capacities. First, WR Mike Sims-Walker is improving and is being called probable for Saturday night against the Titans. It sounds like his groin issue is pretty minor, so Spags won’t push him too hard over the next few weeks until he is 100% ready to go. Donnie Avery was on the field and was reportedly pretty impressive, and it looks like he will be able to do more going forward. Now, it’s no secret that I’m not a huge Avery fan, but if he is healthy I still think he can really help this team. Jacob Bell didn’t go, but Spags said that it was more precautionary than anything and he is improving as well.

Also in attendance on Thursday for former head coach Dick Vermeil, who spoke to the team after practice. Coach Vermeil is well known as a powerful speaker obviously, but it sounds like he was very inspiring today and he thinks the team is headed in the right direction. Anytime Coach is around the team it can only be a good thing, so it’s nice to see him.
