Shoot yea! I do agree. Some of the football players do not understand the position they have put themselves in. One negative/inappropriate tweet can not only hurt their career but misconstrued their team's image regarding the fans. Its great to be a personality on Twitter, but remember Twitter is not the locker-room. You can't just say anything you want and it be okay. Twitter is worldwide. You are representing your company, your team, your agent, your school, your city. It's a lot on a player's shoulders but that's what comes with the glitz and glam. Right? But this is the agent's and publicist's job to control these issues. I am just a little ole' girlfriend! Like anyone is going to listen to me! :)

Nice, that is great info there and your passion for this is refreshing, love it! I am not disagreeing with anything you said. This is kind of my point...I think more players should use Twitter for more constructive and positive things. When you are talking about your charity or what its like to be playing in the NFL or talking about getting off the bus arriving in a new city, etc....that's exciting stuff, whether it's spelled ok or not. My main point was the guys making use of Twitter in negative non-football kind of shady ways. And it seems most of those guys are the ones barely making the team or not going to make it at all. I am questioning their focus and commitment. And I am all about having an outlet and taking a break, but just using that time in a way that's positive or to help the branding of your company (image).
