Rams Make Roster Moves

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

With the rash of injuries that hit the Rams on Sunday, the team shook up the roster a bit on Wednesday to fill some holes. As far as the active roster goes, the team signed RB Quinn Porter off Cleveland’s practice squad and the promoted CB Tim Atchison from their own practice squad to fill the holes. As far as Porter goes, I really don’t know much about him other than he played with the Packers and Browns last season and battled for the final running back spot in Cleveland this year. I’m told he is explosive and could factor in the [...]

Quinn, DX Likely To Be Active Monday

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

We all know about the Rams injury problems at this point, so it stands to reason that some guys who were inactive on Sunday will be in the lineup when the team travels to New York for this week’s Monday Night Football game against the Giants. Lucky for the Rams and for us as fans, we have some pretty good players who will be filling in some of those spots. It looks like 2011 first-round pick Robert Quinn will be active in place of CJ Ah You, who will miss at least one week after having surgery on his injured [...]

Rams Injury Update: Bartell Fractures Neck, SJ39 Likely Out

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

The injury news for the Rams on Monday had a little bit over everything. It had some news that was better than we expected, and it had some that was significantly worse. Let’s start with the bad news. CB Ron Bartell will likely miss the rest of the season with a two-level fracture in his neck. The team called the injury a stinger on Sunday, but they found the fracture during test today. Obviously, when it comes to neck injuries you start to think less about when he will return to the field and more about if it will affect [...]

The Top 10 Rams red flags?

AUTHOR: | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Rams performance yesterday against the Eagles was severely disappointing. A wonderful opportunity was just completely erased slowly but surely as the dome got more quiet as each depressing play and injury added up. I was at the game and the dome was 200% rockin with enthusiasm and excitement! An amazing rendition of the National Anthem and a very nice emotional moment when we remembered those horrible events that went down in our country 10 years ago kicked everything off. We stuffed Vick and the Eagles on their 1st series. The dome was deafening. When I didn’t think it could get [...]

Eagles, Injuries Decimate Rams

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

Well that was an absolute disaster. If you would have asked me to describe the absolute worst-case scenario for today’s game, I probably would have come up with something awfully close to what actually happened. First, the injuries. We don’t know a whole lot just yet, but Sam Bradford left with a right index finger injury. He expects to play next week right now, but he will have an MRI on Monday to determine if there is any nerve damage. The MRI room is going to be busy, as Steven Jackson left after two carries with a quad injury, the [...]

Meet The Rams’ Week 1 Opponent: Philadelphia Eagles

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

The official start of the Rams regular season is less than 12 hours away, and the excitement for the Week 1 matchup with “The Dream Team” is reaching epic proportions. To give everyone a closer look at what the Eagles will bring to the table, I had a chat with Bob Wankel from the Eagles Fansided blog Inside the Iggles. We will be doing this chat with the opposing team’s writer on a weekly basis, so I hope you all enjoy it. Here’s what Bob had to say about five questions posed to him by yours truly. My questions will be [...]

TK’s Game of the Week (Rams vs Eagles) Week 1

AUTHOR: | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

9 years ago and one day ahead, America had its hardest test to face. Which today we are still facing, conspiracies, economy, threats, and an NFL season almost lost. Why did all this happen? Bush obviously did but what did they take from us? Listen to what the name of the building was called. World “Trade” Center, in New York. That was one of the main reasons why economy went down.  Also I am a Obama supporter and don’t think that a man can fix something in 3 years while, the man who did it had 8 years. Now what [...]

NFL and 9/11: Ten Years Later

AUTHOR: | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

Ten years ago this Sunday, our nation was challenged. ‘Challenged’ might not be the word of choice for most Americans, especially during those dire moments in 2001. Attacked, hurt, bleeding. In a moment that left a country lost for words, we simply sat and watched helplessly. Football wasn’t the focus. Fans brought down their team flags and raised the ultimate team colors of red, white and blue. Commissioner Paul Tagliabue canceled the games that following Sunday because he said that football wouldn’t be appropriate. The cancelation wasn’t to give America time to heal, because after all, there was no possible [...]

My Prediction For Rams-Eagles

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

The day we have been waiting for for what seems like forever is finally almost here, so I think it’s time to take a realistic look at what might happen in Sunday’s game between the Rams and Eagles. I was watching NFL Live today on ESPN, and to my surprise one of the hosts (I don’t remember which one) actually picked the Rams to win the game. Unfortunately, I also head the phrase “It’s the Eagles in St. Louis taking on the hype”, which I found to be disturbing at the same time as being exactly what I expected ESPN [...]

Expect Lots of SJ39

AUTHOR: | IN: Rams | COMMENTS: None Yet

For those who can’t wait to see the new Josh McDaniels downfield passing attack, you might have to wait another week.  I think McD will dial up a lot of runs and short to intermediate passing plays this Sunday and there are a number of reasons why: 1)  In case  you were hiding under a rock the last month and a half, the Eagles picked up two high profile shotdown corners in Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, to go along with Asante Samuel, who’s not too shabby himself.   2) The Eagles Linebacking group is light and speedy but striking terror into the hearts of [...]
