Another issue that’s inexcusable is the incompetence in the red zone. Is it just me, or does it seem like the Rams have been incapable of scoring inside the 20 for the last 5 years? I just can’t figure it out. They actually have some bigger targets this season, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Is it the play-calling? I’d say yes, partly. You can’t blame it all on that, and I think it’s time to start pointing fingers at Bradford in that regard. The man is super-talented, but this offense has been incapable in the red zone for his entire tenure as QB. I’m not saying it’s all on him, but I think the pick on the fade today was an example. I almost looks like he is pressing and trying to be too perfect in that area of the field, which is not surprising considering how the team has struggled.

There are obviously still a ton of issues with this club, but this team won’t move forward until they get these basics ironed out. The coaching staff it on the hot seat, and rightly so. I have a hard time showing them support when they can’t fix the obvious and “routine” problems that manifest each and every Sunday.
