Bradford Improving, Could Play Sunday

The news on Sam Bradford was remarkably better on Wednesday, which is a great sign with the Rams facing another daunting task this weekend when they head to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. Bradford didn’t practice on Wednesday, and in fact he didn’t even come out of the field. He spent the day getting every possible kind of treatment on that injured ankle, and he told the media afterwards that it feels much better today than it did on Monday. As far as his availability for the weekend, Bradford says he wants to play and that he will play is he is at all able.

For what it’s worth, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that Bradford is likely going to play, so that’s another one in the win column for us. It doesn’t mean he will for sure be out there, but I’ve kind of gotten the feeling over the last few days from what the people in the organization have been saying that he will go unless there is a setback. From what I gather, the plan is to keep him limited in practice at least until Friday to make sure it doesn’t get any worse, and then have him ready for Sunday. Like I said, it’s not a certainty by any means, but if I were a betting man, I’d say he’s under center. If he does play, I’m sure he’s excited to try out his new toy in Brandon Lloyd, so hopefully we will see an instant connection.
