To make room for Clayton, the Rams released third QB Tom Brandstater. Brandstater will likely be signed back to the practice squad. LB Dave Nixon was added to the 53-man today to help out with depth at the position, and the team signed WR David Gilreath to the practice squad. Gilreath is a return man as well, so there’s a little more depth to that position as well.
On the injury front, Danario Alexander didn’t practice again today with the hamstring. The team doesn’t want to rush him back and risk a setback like they had last week. Gary Gibson was limited, and Darell Scott was no-contact.
