Clemens, Brandstater Share QB Work

It was another day and more of the same at Rams Park on Friday, as quarterbacks Sam Bradford and AJ Feeley were both out again with their respective injuries. In their place, Tom Brandstater and new addition Kellen Clemens shared the workload with the offense. According to Spags, Clemens was impressive in his first practice with the team. That certainly doesn’t mean he is going to see any playing time this week, but it’s good to know that he is at least familiar with the terminology in case the worst happens.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know where we’re at on the Bradford front. The extra day this week should help, but it’s making me awfully nervous that he hasn’t done anything yet this week. I still believe he will play, but I’m much less confident in that statement now than I was a few days ago.

The rest of the DNP list is the same as yesterday, with Chris Long, Freddie Robbins and Quinn Porter all unable to go. Brit Miller also didn’t practice after tweaking his knee during warmups. In a roster move, the team added DT Cornell Banks to the practice squad and released QB Matt Gutierrez, who was signed earlier in the week.
