At the end of the article, Miklasz brings up college coaches Nick Saban (Alabama) and Chip Kelly (Oregon). He does this with the knowledge that these two aren’t really options, but let me just say I would take either one. Saban didn’t exactly have the best showing in his first NFL run with Miami, but he’s the best coach in the college game right now and I think he would be much more successful the second time around.
As far as Kelly goes, it’s no secret that I’m a huge Oregon fan and a huge Kelly fan. His offenses are always explosive, and his teams are always well prepared. I don’t know how well his style would translate to the NFL, but nobody has a better offensive mind in the college game. It’s not going to happen, but it would be fun to see what he could do with elite NFL talent.
