The St. Louis Rams added two receivers to the team’s 90-man roster on Wednesday.
After working out for the team Wednesday morning, the Rams added Brandyn Harvey and Charles Gilbert, who are expected to merely help the Rams’ four quarterbacks as “camp legs.” These are players used as bodies in practice. Simply put, the team needed more wide receivers in order to make sure each quarterback could have an opportunity to work on the offense.
Harvey and Gilbert are not expected to make the final 53-man roster, but having their presence in camp will not be forgotten as they will be considered integral parts of helping the team get better as a whole. Also, each of the players will be able to display their talents on game film for other teams to see and use when evaluating their skills.
All in all, these signings are beneficial to every party involved.
