Michael Hoomanawanui Signing Marks The Third St. Louis Ram To Join The New England Patriots

The Patriots are shopping the St. Louis Rams like they are having a yard sale at the Edward Jones Dome. According to Michael Hoomanawanui’s agent, Rick Smith, “Illinois Mike” is the latest Ram to join the Patriots.

With this signing, the Patriots now have three offensive players and one coach that received a check from Kroenke just a season ago. McDaniels is clearly pulling his weight with these acquisitions, although it is hard to see where Hoomanawanui fits into the picture with Hernandez and Gronk already locking down the tight ends spots, not to mention Lloyd and Welker on the outside and in the slot. Hoomanawanui was not touted as much of a blocking tight end on the Rams, although it is hard to make a judgement on a player that has seen fewer than 10 games in two season. Anyways, we wish Mike well in New England, along with Salas! Go Rams…
