With 0:08 remaining in the game, quarterback Russell Wilson tossed up a Hail Mary shot that was clearly intercepted by Green Bay Packers defensive back M.D. Jennings; however, the referees gave the touchdown to Tate.
The refs will continue to be the main takeaway from this game. Seattle had 14 penalties for 118 yards and Green Bay was called for 10 penalties for 127 yards.
Wilson’s last second heroics were matched bu his statistics. He completed 10 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns on the night—Tate was on the receiving end of both of those TD tosses. Marshawn Lynch netted 25 carries for 98 yards.
The Seattle Seahawks (2-1, 2-0 home) will travel to play the St. Louis Rams next Sunday.
