New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles - The first half featured a defensive struggle, but, boy, was the second half thrilling!
The Philadelphia Eagles (3-1, 2-0 home) took care of business at home against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football after Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes missed the last second, game winning field goal, leading to a 19-17 win for Michael Vick and the gang.
Eli Manning passed for 309 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, and receiver Domenik Hixon assisted the Giants by reeling in six catches for 114 yards, but it just wasn’t enough to get past the Eagles.
LeSean McCoy carried the ball 23 times for 123 yards, DeSean Jackson hauled in six receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown, and Michael Vick completed 19 passing attempts for 241 yards and a score.
The New York Giants may have lost a heartbreaker, but the team’s defense had a great outing. Containing McCoy and Vick is a tough task and the defense was able to keep both of them from putting up video game-like statistics. The Giants need to get more explosive on offense and put more points on the board to pull out close games like this.
