Yesterday there were multiple reports that the Rams would most likely not extend Bradford past 2014 which brought the team’s future quarterback situation into question.

Jeff Fisher took to those reports right away Tuesday morning while appearing on ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the Morning saying,

"“Sam’s doing great with the rehab,” Fisher said. “He’s really excited. He took on a leadership role last year and he’s maintained that and he’s our quarterback, and we’ve said that. We talk about extensions with all our players under contract,” Fisher said. “Whether or not we do so with him, I don’t know where all this came from, but Sam’s our quarterback. He’s going to be under center. We have been and still are open to extending Sam”"

Whether or not Fisher is just saying this to shut down yesterday’s reports or he really means it is the big question. Jeff Fisher and Les Snead have given Bradford their full support in their time with St. Louis, but coming off of a knee injury and entering a big contract year, Bradford will have a lot to prove in 2014.

Last season Bradford was off to a standout year and through seven weeks had 1,687 yard, 14 touchdowns, only four interceptions, and finished the year as the 20th ranked quarterback on Pro Football Focus. You can see where we think Bradford would have finished right here.

Certainly 2014 is a big year for Bradford. Really for the first time in his career, the Rams and their fans aren’t quite sure about him and aren’t sure about his future with the team. How Bradford steps up to the plate and delivers will determine his fate moving forward.
