At some point karma always comes back to get you. For the St. Louis Rams that might just be the case this free agency. It has been reported by NFL.com that the Miami Dolphins have reached out to Rams offensive/tackle guard Rodger Saffold.

Over the past couple of off seasons, the Rams have stolen players and coaches from the Dolphins. In 2012 the Dolphins and Rams were going after head coach Jeff Fisher and after reports that Fisher was going to Miami, he went to the Rams instead.

Last offseason the Rams stole the Dolphins’ franchise Pro Bowl left tackle Jake Long and tight end Jared Cook, a player the Dolphins were interested in. To fire back the Dolphins took wide receiver Brandon Gibson.

According to the report, it’s believed the team’s priority is signing either Albert or Monroe at left tackle and Saffold at guard, which is good for the Rams because it would mean that the Dolphins wouldnt be giving Saffold left tackle kind of money unless they miss out on Albert or Monroe.

Another team to keep an eye on is the Arizona Cardinals who are also in the market for a left tackle. If they cant get one of the top guys, don’t be surprised if they go inside the division and attempt to sign Saffold.

We are still very early in the free agency process, teams are only allowed to talk to players agents right now, but starting monday is when the players will start dropping off the board like flies and the free agency extravaganza will begin.
