Players To Keep An Eye On During Free Agency

Byrd is a pretty popular choice for Rams fans and luckily the Rams seem to be in pretty good contention for him. Byrd is asking somewhere in the $8M-$9M range which is something the Rams could do and still have some wiggle room to re-sign some of their own players like guard Shelly Smith or linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar or some smaller name free agents.

Byrd was the eighth highest rated safety last season with the Bills on Pro Football Focus and was rated second and third the two years prior. The Rams have a big hole at the safety spot in their secondary, and Byrd would fill that spot and make a huge difference on an already potential top ten defense.
