St. Louis Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles Preview, Game Time, and Channel Information

This week the St. Louis Rams come are coming off of a bye week and will travel to Philadelphia to take on a difficult Eagles team. This will by far be the most difficult test that the Rams have had to face this season, but coming off of a bye week, this will be a very close matchup.

Jeff Fisher announced earlier this week that Austin Davis will be the starting quarterback of the Rams for the rest of the season and therefore will be making his third consecutive start in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off of a 26-21 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in which their offense failed to score a single point. The Eagles have had three come from behind victories this season, and almost pulled off a fourth last week. The Eagles will be looking to get back on track and put together a full 60 minutes.

This game will be played at 12PM CT in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field and will broadcasted on FOX.  Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa will be calling this NFC matchup.

Players To Watch: Austin Davis and LeSean McCoy

Austin Davis has officially been named the St. Louis Rams starting quarterback. He has played lights out over the past two weeks and will need to do so once again on Sunday if the Rams want to win. The Eagles secondary is shaky at best and therefore there will be plenty of plays to be made through the air.

For the Eagles you’ll want to watch LeSean McCoy. McCoy has yet to have a good game this season and against the 30th ranked run defense of the St. Louis Rams, you can bet he will be looking to break out. The Rams will need to focus on stopping the Eagles run game if they want to win.

Matchup To Watch: Rams defensive line vs Eagles offensive line

In order for the Rams to win this game, they will need to win the battle up front on defense. The Eagles offense is without Jason Kelce and Evan Mathis. Lane Johnson will be coming back from his suspension this week. The Rams have the talent to dominate the Eagles offensive line, it’s just a matter of doing it. The Rams have to win this matchup.

Last Meeting: Eagles 31 Rams 13

The last time these two teams played was September 11, 2011. Running back Steven Jackson broke the game open with a 47-yard touchdown run, but it was all Eagles after that. The Eagles ran for 236 yards on their way to victory.

Prediction: Rams 34 Eagles 31

Vegas: Eagles(-7)

I will be at this game cheering on the Rams in my Chris Long jersey. The Eagles defense has not been good this season and the offense has yet to really click. Jeff Fisher is 5-1-1 after his last seven byes and 1-0-1 with the Rams. Austin Davis connects with Jared Cook and Brian Quick in the end zone and Zac Stacy has a good day on the ground. Eagles try to make a push late in the game, but the Rams hang on.
