Nick Foles Excited To Join The St. Louis Rams

Tuesday, the St. Louis Rams traded away Sam Bradford  to the Philadelphia Eagles for Nick Foles as well as a series of picks from both teams. To say the least, after a rough season for their respective franchises, both quarterbacks needed a fresh start somewhere else.

After the trade was made official, you could tell Foles was excited to be a St. Louis Ram. The Rams Official Twitter Account welcomed Foles to the team with a picture and caption saying, “Let’s get it”. Foles then responded to the tweet with, ” I’m excited for this new chapter and looking forward to what’s ahead in St. Louis. Go Rams!”

ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio also joined Philadelphia’s number one sports radio host, Mike Missanelli, on 97.5 The Fanatic and Sal Pal had this to say about Foles’ reaction to being traded:

"“Just talked to someone from Nick Foles family – he is absolutely pumped, overjoyed he’s out of Philly.”"

Foles had a rough season in Philadelphia last season which has continued into this offseason. Foles missed eight games in 2014 and with constant speculation about the possibility of the Eagles moving up to get Marcus Mariota and a possible quarterback  controversy with Mark Sanchez, you can’t blame him for wanting out.

By the looks of it, Foles seems excited to be out of Philadelphia and be apart of the St. Louis Rams. There’s nothing worse than trading for a player who isn’t excited to join the team which doesn’t seem to be the case at all.

We’ll see how well Foles performs on the field, but by the looks of it, the relationship between team and quarterback is off to a good start.
