The 2015 offseason keeps getting better for the St. Louis Rams. Former QB Jeff Garcia was hired by Jeff Fisher on Wednesday as an assistant.

Garcia spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will bring a lot of experience to the table in his first ever coaching role in the NFL.

Garcia has made it known that he wanted a role in the NFL after interviewing for the Rams quarterbacks coaching vacancy back in February, but the Rams went with Chris Weinke instead.

It is not known at the time exactly what Garcia’s role will be with the team, but it’s all but certain it will pertain to the quarterback position.

Nick Foles and Sean Mannion alike will get to learn from a quarterback who made himself known by working hard, and never taking anything for granted.

Garcia tweeted awhile back that Kurt Warner mentoring Colin Kaepernick was not a good idea, but the tweet was later deleted. Garcia felt as if he would be the man for the job, showing that he wants his voice heard to young quarterbacks in the NFL.

Fisher was very impressed with Garcia’s interview, and wanted Fisher on the team, just not as a quarterback coach.

The Rams top to bottom will look completely different in 2015. QB Sam Bradford is gone. Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is gone. Four of the five 2014 week 1 offensive linemen are gone.

This makes for a very exciting 2015 season in more ways than one. It is clear that the Rams want to win now. And with the many pieces they have brought in, they are hoping everything comes together in order to lead a team to their first playoff berth in over 10 years.

What do you think about the recent move to bring Garcia in as an offensive assistant?
