The St. Louis Rams took another one in the teeth this past Sunday when they couldn’t complete the comeback again the Minnesota Vikings. The Rams would go down in overtime 21-18, even after receiving the ball to begin the overtime period. St. Louis opted to go for two early in the game after a Todd Gurley touchdown that they could not convert. Combine that with a Greg Zuerlein missed field goal try and the Rams lose a close one to move to 4-4 on the season. Week 10 brings the three-win Chicago Bears to town with one of the Rams last chances to make a push for the postseason.

Nick Foles has played all season under pressure and now has there games this season without a touchdown pass. Foles had just three games in his previous two seasons without a touchdown pass. So how much of the Rams struggles can we really blame on Nick Foles? (Division Rivals: Seattle 7, Arizona 6, San Francisco 30)

The offense has become one dimensional with rookie running back Todd Gurley leading the way. Even a steady dose of Tavon Austin has failed to put enough points on the board. The Rams offense needs to do more in the passing game and put an emphasis on pushing the ball down field. Until then, they can’t be trusted. (Division Rivals: Seattle 8, Arizona 5, San Francisco 27)

Todd Gurley continues to lead the way with four touchdowns in the last three games, but even his immense talent isn’t enough to carry this inept offense. However, if St. Louis has one thing to look forward to for the future it is Gurley. The wide receiver core has a long way to go before they consider themselves competitive. Can we make it anymore clear than this? Todd Gurley and Tavon Austin are one of the best RB/WR combos in the league. However, the res of the offense continues to lag far behind. Nick Foles can’t make the plays that created his legacy in Philadelphia and this offensive line has failed to gel as expected. The defense will continue to carry this Rams team and will ultimately determine how far this team will go this season. (Division Rivals: Seattle 10, Arizona 4, San Francisco 27)

The most disheartening part of Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings was the blow it dealt to the Rams playoff hopes. Missed opportunities are the storybook of this 2015 season, and it might end up costing head coach Jeff Fisher his job. St. Louis can still make their move however, with three division games remaining including a rematch with the NFC West leading Arizona Cardinals.
