It’s time for the St. Louis Rams to move on from Jeff Fisher

Last week, the Cincinnati Bengals put the nail in the coffin for the St. Louis Rams 2015 season. Another potential playoff team, unable to finish the season out and falling apart. They’ve lost four straight games after a 4-3 start, and by the looks of it, they will be missing the playoffs for the 10th straight season. So who is to blame for the Rams this year? All of the problems lead back to head coach Jeff Fisher. Fisher has coached the Rams the last four seasons, and has never shown signs of improvements.

Last week was another embarrassing loss, as they got beat down by the Bengals 31-7. It was their second 24-point loss in three weeks as the Rams are once again falling apart in mid-season. Jeff Fisher has been known for starting hot, but then slowly his team cannot finish. Fisher started his era with the Rams in 2012, as he posted a 7-8-1 record. Not bad right? However the following years would only get worse. In 2013 Fisher posted a 7-9 record. Last year, Fisher posted a 6-10 record. Now through 12 weeks in the 2015 season, Fisher holds a 4-7 record. This could be Fishers worst season yet, as the coach of the St. Louis Rams

The Rams have a lot of potential, yet it has yet to be fully produced and be shown towards a playoff bond team. St. Louis has to the players to produce a solid team; however Fisher is now 24-34-1 in three and a half seasons with the Rams. St. Louis is struggling again, and there must be a change to fix this football team. Coach Fisher has been the talk throughout the NFL, as he is currently on the hot seat. He even showed emotion during his press conference after the blow out loss to the Bengals.

"“Anyone implies that it’s an effort issue, they can kiss my ass,” There’s no effort problems on this team. That’s what happens when teams lose four in a row is people say it’s effort. Come to practice, watch this team play, and ask any other opponent or opposing coach. It’s not an effort issue right now. Per Nick Wagoner"

Jeff Fisher was heated, and would eventually leave the conference during a question from a reporter. The Rams have been struggling for quite some time now, and coach Fisher has lost his cool. Fisher also was the main voice in wanting quarterback Nick Foles. Foles currently is the 2nd lowest rated qualified passer in the NFL, and he is benched once again. Fisher has made too many mistakes and it’s time to move on.

With his name surrounding the NFL, of course the question would be asked to Fisher about, is he worried about his position with the Rams?

"“I’ve been doing this for probably short of 20 years, and I’ve never gone into a game or into a season worried about my job security,That would be unfair to the organization and unfair to the players. So I’m not concerned about that.” Per The St. Louis Post-Dispatch."

Instead Fisher returned to his coaching self, and reminded the reporters that there is still a season to be played. The St. Louis Rams will be back in the Edward Jones Dome to face the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams have already beaten the Cardinals and currently have a record of 3-0 in division play.

"“What I’m concerned about is this week. I know that’s not the answer you guys want to hear, but I’m concerned about this week. We’re 3-0 in the division. We’ve got the division leader coming to town, and we’re going to get ready to play.” Per The St. Louis Post-Dispatch."

It’s been a rough three and a half seasons of coaching the St. Louis Rams for Jeff Fisher, and it looks as if this will be his last season. It’s time for a change in St. Louis, and that change will be the end of the era of coach Fisher. It’s time to move on from Jeff Fisher.
