With the upcoming Super Bowl, Las Vegas is already looking ahead to Super Bowl 51. With more than a year until Super Bowl LI in Houston, the SuperBook is giving the Seahawks, Patriots and Steelers all 8-to-1 odds to win it all in 2017.

In the Cinderella category there are seven teams at 50-to-1 including the Los Angeles Rams. ESPN’s Nation writers discussed the Super Bowl odds of their respective teams, here’s what Nick Wagoner had to say. Odds are courtesy of the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.

"“An argument could be made that the Rams should be closer to 40-1 or 30-1 like the Lions, Bears or Bills since they have been in the same mediocre range as those teams. But all of the teams ahead of the Rams have a better quarterback situation and play in a division more conducive to getting the playoffs. NFC West division rivals Seattle and Arizona come in with some of the best odds in the NFL, which makes the Rams’ climb to Super Bowl contention all the more difficult. — Nick Wagoner”"

Wagoner is right in the sense that the Rams very well could be higher at 40-1 or 30-1 along with the other mediocre teams. However, unlike those mediocre teams, the Rams dont have a quarterback and in today’s NFL, you aren’t going to win a Super Bowl without a quarterback.

At least in the Lions, Bears, and Bills’ case, they have Matthew Stafford, Jay Cutler, and Tyrod Taylor. While maybe not Super Bowl quarterbacks, they are better than what the Rams have with Case Keenum and Nick Foles.

While 50:1 may seem low, it is right where the Rams should be. There are pretty far off from going to the Super Bowl let alone winning the Super Bowl. Those odds could increase from now until the beginning of the season with potential offseason additions, but for the time being 50:1 is where the Rams are.
