The Los Angeles Rams improved to 3-1 on the season after a thrilling win on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.

After a surprising 2-1 start, nobody knew what to expect from the Los Angeles Rams heading into their Week 4 matchup on the road against the Arizona Cardinals, especially since Bruce Arians’ squad was in desperate need of a win following their Week 3 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Thanks to Brian Quick stepping it up in the passing game along with Aaron Donald leading the way on defense, the Rams will remain on top of the NFC West for at least one more week.

One week after recording the first touchdown of the season, Quick came through with another strong performance against the Cardinals to help the Rams improve to 3-1 on the season following their 17-13 road win in Week 4. After an amazing 65-yard touchdown in the first quarter, Quick caught the go-ahead touchdown from four yards out in the fourth quarter to give Los Angeles a late lead.

Turns out, that score by Quick would end up being the difference maker to help seal the win for the Rams, their second win against the NFC West in three games to make their division record 2-1 on the young season.

While Quick deserves plenty of credit for leading the way on offense, Donald deserves just as much credit as the defensive standout recorded 1.5 sacks against the Cardinals, along with a key forced fumble in the third quarter when Arizona was on the verge of scoring.

At 3-1, nobody could have predicted Los Angeles to be in this position when considering how terrible they looked opening weekend during their 28-0 loss the San Francisco 49ers. For a team to bounce back from a performance like that with key wins against Arizona and the Seattle Seahawks.

Don’t look now, but it’s time to consider Jeff Fisher‘s squad as legitimate contenders in the NFC with the way they’ve been playing over the last three games. They still have a long way to go when it comes to continuing this success, but Los Angeles has every reason to enjoy a win like this as they made another statement in the NFC West.
