The Los Angeles Rams and San Diego Chargers are reportedly talking about a deal that would send the Chargers to Los Angeles.

The San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Rams are discussing a possible deal that could lead to the Chargers playing in L.A. next season.

The Chargers have until January 15 to make a decision on their future, which could certainly involve a move to Los Angeles. It appears the Rams will welcome the Chargers to their market with open arms.

Rams COO Kevin Demoff told NFL Network Insider Ian Rappoport that the two sides are discussing a possible deal and there are no hurdles for the Chargers to land in L.A., per Kevin Patra of NFL.com:

"“There are no hurdles to any deal,” Demoff said. “The relationship between the two owners is in a good place and, I believe the Chargers feel welcomed. Nothing stands in their way of moving if that is what they want to do. I would also say we have no insight on what their decision will be. It’s only that we have worked hard to make sure their L.A. option is a good one.”"

A ballot measure for a new stadium was struck down earlier this month and Los Angeles remains the best option the Chargers have for a new stadium at the moment.

While a move to Los Angeles would benefit the Chargers with few other options available, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and the league would like to see the team remain in San Diego. This is normally the case when any team is thinking of moving.

Now that the Chargers and Rams are closely working together, the move to Los Angeles could be inevitable.
