The Los Angeles Rams hope an illness doesn’t prevent Jared Goff taking the field on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

If there’s anything to take away from the last three games with the Los Angeles Rams, it would be Jared Goff has plenty of potential, but is still a work in progress who needs all of the extra experience he can get over the final four games of his rookie season.

With that being said, here’s to hoping the No. 1 pick from this year’s draft is ready to go when the Rams host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Unfortunately, Goff has been dealing with an illness this week, and it even prevented him from practicing with the team on Wednesday as Jeff Fisher wanted to be cautious with his quarterback. Obviously, the situation could be much worse as an illness is only a minor issue, but it’s difficult not to wonder what type of impact this could have during Sunday’s game against the Falcons.

When seeing how much the offense has struggled over the last few weeks, Goff is the best hope for some sort of spark as the Rams have lost seven of their last eight games. Los Angeles may have taken a step back in 2016 when it comes to their offense showing signs of improvement, but here’s to hoping this rookie experience by Goff will pay off for the team in the future.

Hopefully, Goff’s illness disappears in the next few days, and the rookie feels healthy enough to take the field against the Falcons to give the Rams a better chance of earning their fifth win of the season.
