An anchor for the St. Louis FOX affiliate has issued an apology for running a graphic labeling Los Angeles Rams COO Kevin Demoff a “professional liar.”

After running a snarky graphic that called Los Angeles Rams COO Kevin Demoff a “professional liar,” the man behind the move has issued an apology.

The St. Louis FOX affiliate carried Demoff’s press conference regarding the firing of former head coach Jeff Fisher, but there was one incredible twist to it.

In the graphic showing Demoff’s name and his job title, the station threw in another title, “professional liar,” taking a shot at the Rams’ COO.

Here’s what it looked like in all of its glory:

The man behind the graphic, anchor Charlie Marlow, went on to apologize during the channel’s 11 p.m. newscast, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

"For all intents and purposes, KTVI (Channel 2) sports anchor Charlie Marlow was attempting to have some fun at the expense of Rams executive Kevin Demoff. But it resulted in an on-air apology by Marlow late Monday.During its 5 p.m. telecast, the station ran a sound bite from Demoff’s press conference on the firing of coach Jeff Fisher. In the graphic at the bottom of the picture, Demoff was identified as: “Rams Chief Operating Officer/Professional Liar.”"

We could see this coming from a mile away. While Marlow’s decision to run that epic graphic was amazing, it was always likely the station would make him apologize.

Regardless, we salute you for having the guts to do it, Mr. Marlow.
