Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff is spending part of his offseason training with quarterback coaches Tom House and Adam Dedeaux.

When it came to Jared Goff‘s rookie season with the Los Angeles Rams, the one key takeaway that sticks out the most is the quarterback is still a work in progress with plenty of areas in need of improvement. Even if Goff was at a disadvantage for playing behind a poor offensive line along with having one of the league’s weakest receiving corps, the former California star still has a long way to go before becoming an elite quarterback at the NFL level.

The fact that Goff failed to record a single win in seven starts shows how rough his rookie season truly was, but hopefully the early experience will pay off for the quarterback down the road. For now, it’s good to see Goff taking the necessary approach in the offseason by doing whatever it takes to improve for the Rams, even if that means working with two of the best quarterback coaches in the game in Tom House and Adam Dedeaux.

Albert Breer recently praised Goff on the MMQB for his commitment to improving his game by working with the duo since they have a history of helping some of the league’s top quarterbacks. House and Dedeaux run a quarterback training facility in Los Angeles called 3DQB, and when seeing some of their clients that include Tom Brady and Matt Ryan, Goff hopes the extra work will payoff heading into his second season.

Despite finishing with a 4-12 record last year, there’s plenty of reasons for Rams fans to be excited about their team heading into the 2017 season when looking at all of the big changes over the last month, including the hiring of new head coach Sean McVay. Between the addition of an offensive genius like McVay along with the extra training at 3DQB, how can fans not get excited about what’s in store for Goff heading into his sophomore season?

Of course, the deciding factor for Goff will come down to what the team ends up doing in the upcoming draft and free agency when it comes to providing their quarterback with better weapons to avoid finishing last in the NFL again after averaging just 14 points per game in 2016.
