Rumors are beginning to swirl about Peyton Manning possibly joining the Los Angeles Rams front office in the future.

While the Los Angeles Rams have been staying busy over the last few months preparing for the 2017 NFL Draft, but believe it or not, Peyton Manning may be a name to keep an eye on over the next few months. Obviously, the future Hall of Fame quarterback isn’t going to come out of retirement to suit up for the Rams, but rumors are beginning to heat up surrounding the possibility of Manning taking on a role in the front office.

According to Chad Forbes, team owner Stan Kroenke seems interested in bringing Manning on board for Los Angeles to take on a similar role John Elway has with the Denver Broncos. As Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager, Elway has played a big part in helping the Broncos become one of the greatest organizations the NFL has to offer over the last few years.

Coincidentally, Manning’s last career game in the NFL came a few years ago when he retired a Super Bowl champion after Denver defeated the Carolina Panthers, which may never have happened if it wasn’t for Elway. Not to mention, keep in mind the role Elway played in helping convince Manning to join the team in 2012 following his release from the Indianapolis Colts when there were concerns over his ability to still be an elite quarterback.

Even before announcing his retirement following the 2015 season, Manning’s name had been thrown around for the possibility of a front office role when considering his dedication to the game of football. If Kroenke and the Rams even had the slightest chance of convincing Manning to join the front office, they should do whatever would be necessary to make this move happen, as one can only imagine the type of future talent he would attract in this type of role.
