Gerald Everett, Cooper Kupp, and John Johnson all signed contracts with the Los Angeles Rams on Friday.

Entering the 2017 NFL Draft, one of the main focuses for the Los Angeles Rams was to build a better offense around Jared Goff to give the quarterback better options to work with in the passing game. So when the Rams ended up using three of their first four picks in this year’s draft on pass catchers for Goff, it really wasn’t that much of a surprise for fans.

Only time will tell when it comes to the level of impact players like Gerald Everett and Cooper Kupp will have during their first years in Los Angeles, but at least the excitement is starting to build up. What’s even more exciting is these two rookies, along with John Johnson, signed their official contracts with the Rams on Friday to give the team one less thing to worry about over the next few weeks.

Not that there was ever a reason to worry about either of these players holding out, but at least these signings mean the Rams are one step close to the 2017 NFL season finally being here. Even though Los Angeles is coming off a disappointing 4-12 finish last year, all signs point to this team showing a drastic improvement during Sean McVay‘s first year as head coach.

Up next for the Rams after these rookie signings, let’s hope the team can figure out a way to finally work a long-term deal out with defensive superstar Aaron Donald. There’s been some concerns over the former first-round pick skipping organized team activities due to being unhappy over his contract, but let’s hope this issue with Donald is addressed sooner rather than later by Los Angeles.
