Oh gosh where to begin. I keep trying each week to find a reason to like Steve and Josh and I do personally- they are great guys, but I think we are all starting to realize, even the true kool-aid drinking Rams freaks who will never leave their team and I’m one of them, that they just have no idea what they are doing in the world of NFL football coaching. And Spags, your pressers are starting to sound like a broken record and the more you keep talking the more we just get numb to your same ole same ole. Did you really say you did NOT consider replacing Sam last night? Why on earth would you keep him in there? Each pathetic play the poor guy is losing confidence, self-esteem, body parts, and the will to live. Why not take a look at Tom Brandstater or Kellen Clemmens just to see what you have? Even if just for a quarter or two or especially after seeing Sam’s body language or at least when his skull crashed into the ground. Spags, did you really say you supported the playcalling on the 1 yard line when it tooks us 8-10 plays to score or whatever it was? Spags, do you really rely on the players for challenging calls? What about using your coaches up top or maybe even using your own eyes if you are able to see the replay? Why wouldn’t you try something at the end of the half instead of acting like your 10-2 and ahead in the game by 35 and running out the clock? Us Rams fans just are having a real tough time understanding this debacle. Stan Kroenke? What are you doing? How on earth are you not starting a new chapter like 3-4 weeks ago? McDaniels is running an offense for a completely different type of group? Spags is coaching and treating them like they are pee wee players? We need some whip cracking not ass kissing. How many more dropped passes are we going to see? Do you realize that the receivers the Rams cut were probably going to produce triple the numbers than the ones we’ve kept? (and some of them have) Does Spags or McDaniels have any clue of any other plays besides running Jackson up the middle into a wall of people who can’t block? Ok I must stop and go bang my head up against the wall a few times or take a bong hit. Please someone anyone do something anything at Rams park. My god make it stop.

First of all, follow me on Twitter @DarrynOTL if you are interested in being on a Rams Roundtable, part of a new TV show I am producing. Ok, as we all know, the Rams are taking zero steps forward and 40 back each and every pitiful week. We started rebuilding last year. It shouldn’t take 8-10 games the next year to continue that rebuilding phase. That means we either got lucky last year or we are 100% dropping the ball this year. I understand the lockout, the new offense, the new OC, the injuries etc. but how many other teams in the same situation are being at least somewhat competetive? Every team has injuries and every team went through the lockout. There are no excuses for dropped passes, constant penalties, and the team failing miserably at Football 101 type of stuff.

I have no idea what goes on behind closed doors with the Rams higher-ups, but doesn’t it seem like someone should freak out a little bit and get pissed off? Why is everyone so nice in interviews, on the sidelines, and in the papers. It seems like Spags always says the same stuff, makes excuses for all the players that are clearly dropping the ball, and just acts like its no big deal. I think the players feed off raw passionate energy and I absolutely see none in Spags and Devaney. Maybe the players need to see that right now. Maybe they need to know if they continue to drop the ball, they are going to get not only called out, but not play. I don’t see any accountability, I see no passion, no hunger to change this sinking ship, and I feel like most players and coaches are just collecting a paycheck. Have you noticed how many Rams players are laughing with the opposing team after a game? Being friendly with someone that just handed your ass to you is not the frame of mind I want my team in. Cowher, Gruden, Fisher, Billick anyone? Not to mention the poor personnel decisions the Rams brass have been making now for years. Who is going to step in and right this ship?

There is a fine line between someone being steady and calm and someone who is missing out on opportunities to scold, teach, and use some damn emotion to get your guys to believe in what you are doing. Even Bradford looked dumbfounded sitting on the bench not even paying attention at all to Feeley, McDaniels and what was going on in the game vs. Dallas. Do Spags and Devaney need to start cracking the whip a bit? I believe so. And once again, earth to Kroenke? Hello are you watching this pathetic team play on Sundays? When do you plan on stepping in and maybe helping steer this thing a little bit?

As I read through all of the blogs and scour all the NFL sites, it seems as though the Rams players are the ones getting most of the criticism. Although it is very true that they are looking pretty bad on the field, how many years now have they looked bad? How many players have been traded away from the Rams to go and excel somewhere else? Are all of the hundreds of players that have come, gone, or still remain that bad? Once they cross the state line into MO, is it the water that turns our NFL hopefuls into NFL mediocres? How on earth can we say it’s all the players faults? We need a serious meeting to be conducted by Stan Kroenke. We need him to start growing a pair and start cracking the whip. If he feels Spags has lost the team or is too nice or can’t rally the troops to be competitive on a football field, then get rid of him. If he needs to open up his darn pocketbook and get us some real receivers, running backs, and defensive backs, then do it. If he thinks Devaney is a little weasle/cheeseball, then find someone else. Make sure the guys in charge of our drafts know what the hell they are doing too while you’re at it. I don’t mind losing games, but the way in which we are losing them is 100% pathetic. Build around Sam. Your attempt at building around him this past offseason was borderline laughable. Kroenke cares so much about his appearance that we always see him in the finest suits and he has one hell of a toupee. So come on Stan clean house or straighten these guys out. You know how to win. Show us. Follow Darryn on Twitter @DarrynOTL
