<p>Just because the Rams traded the second-overall pick to the Redskins, that doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean they are done moving around in the upcoming draft. There has already been talk that the team will trade again, but this time it&#8217;s a little more uncertain which way they will be moving. On one hand, the team could package some picks to move back up a few spot to land Oklahoma St. WR Justin Blackmon, who is expected to go somewhere around the fourth or fifth pick. Another option, if Blackmon is off the board and the Rams aren&#8217;t in love with any of the available players at six, is to trade down again and add to the pile of picks they are accumulating. Both of these options have their merit, so let&#8217;s take a look at what the best course of action might be.</p>
<p>You all know I love Blackmon and have for a long time, but I think the cost might be a little high to move back up in the first round to get him. This organization wants to rebuild through the draft, and adding numerous high picks is obviously the way to do that. Besides, there is at least some chance that Blackmon could still be on the board when the sixth pick comes around. I have been looking at countless mock drafts since the trade, and I would say that maybe close to half of the ones I have looked at have Blackmon still on the board for the Rams. I know it&#8217;s a pretty big gamble, especially if they really fall in love with him, but I&#8217;d be willing to take my chances. And here&#8217;s why.</p>
<p>If I were running things, I would be on the phone shopping the #6 pick all over the league in the days leading up to the draft. Start some dialogue, and gauge the interest from other organizations. Then, when draft day arrives, let the top five picks play out and see what happens. If Blackmon is still on the board, you take him and everything works out. If he&#8217;s gone, you have another team or two ready to swoop in and take the best offer for six. You move down and get at least another pick later in the draft, and you look to take either the best player available when you pick or look at one of the other receivers (Michael Floyd, Alshon Jeffery, etc) if you have them valued at that spot.</p>
<p>I know that&#8217;s all easier said than done, and obviously you have to find someone willing to give you some value for that pick, but I get the feeling that the Rams aren&#8217;t in love with anyone who will be there at 6. If they are, they should stand pat and take who they want. I guess we&#8217;re getting spoiled by acquiring all these extra picks, but I still want more.</p>

<a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Chiefs.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Chiefs.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>11. <a href="http://arrowheadaddict.com">Kansas City Chiefs</a></strong><br />
. Trent Richardson RB Alabama<br />
. The Chiefs love to run the ball and Jamaal Charles is coming off an ACL injury.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Seahawks.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Seahawks.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>12. <a href="http://12thmanrising.com/">Seattle Seahawks</a></strong><br />
. Quinton Coples DE North Carolina<br />
. The Hawks need a QB, but there isn&#8217;t one left worth this spot. Upshaw will provide a much-needed pass rusher.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Cardinals.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Cardinals.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>13. <a href="http://raisingzona.com/">Arizona Cardinals</a></strong><br />
. Luke Kuechly LB Boston College<br />
. The Cards need a playmaker in the middle, and Kuechly fits that mold perfectly.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Cowboys.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Cowboys.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>14. <a href="http://thelandryhat.com">Dallas Cowboys</a></strong><br />
. Dre Krikpatrick CB Alabama<br />
. I&#8217;ve seen Kirkpatrick all over other mock drafts, but the Cowboys need a corner and they will take a chance on him despite his drug arrest.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Eagles.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Eagles.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>15. <a href="http://igglesinsider.com">Philadelphia Eagles</a></strong><br />
. Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame<br />
. The Eagles are going to target a receiver, and Floyd would be a great addition to the offense</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Jets.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Jets.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>16. <a href="http://thejetpress.com">New York Jets</a></strong><br />
. Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina<br />
. Santonio Holmes is likely on his way out, so the Jets give Mark Sanchez a weapon.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Bengals.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Bengals.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>17. <a href="http://stripehype.com">Cincinnati Bengals</a></strong> (from <a href="http://justblogbaby.com">Oakland</a>)<br />
. David DeCastro G Stanford<br />
. The Bengals like to run the ball, and DeCastro is a dominat blocker in the run game.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Chargers.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Chargers.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>18. <a href="http://boltbeat.com">San Diego Chargers</a></strong><br />
. Courtney Upshaw OLB Alabama<br />
. Upshaw is a beast rushing the passer and is the best 3-4 rusher in this class.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Bears.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Bears.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>19. <a href="http://beargoggleson.com">Chicago Bears</a></strong><br />
. Mike Adams OT Ohio St.<br />
. The Bears need to protect Jay Cutler, and with the top receivers gone they do just that with Adams.</p>
<p><a href="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Titans.gif"><img class="alignleft size-full" src="http://sidelionreport.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/54/files/2011/01/Titans.gif" alt="" width="75" height="50" /></a><strong>20. <a href="http://titansized.com/">Tennessee Titans</a></strong><br />
. Melvin Ingram DE South Carolina<br />
. The Titans need a DE, and Ingram really helped his stock this season with 10 sacks despite dealing with injury.</p>
