For what it’s worth, it sounds like Stan Kroenke has yet to make a decision on Spags and Billy Devaney according to Thomas. It sounds like Kroenke is going to evaluate the performance of the team over the final five weeks before he decides what’s next for this franchise. I would love it if this team would show something down the stretch to help Spags keep his job, but I’d say it’s a long shot. It would be nice if this organization could keep from turning over the front office and coaching staff every three years, but if the team is going to struggle to contend every season, they just have to keep trying until they get it right. I don’t know what the right answer is, but we should have some answers in the next few weeks.

As far as Bradford goes, I can’t believe there is only a 25% chance he plays. I know ankle injuries are hard to predict, and it’s still early in the week, but this is very disappointing. I’ve heard some grumblings that certain people in the media believe Bradford should have played last week, but it’s always hard to tell how much these people actually know about the specific injury. I’m not overly concerned about last week because he was coming off the injury a week earlier, and I guess there’s nothing we can do about his status for this week.

According to the coaching staff, they are doing everything possible to get him ready to play. I believe that, too. They have thrown pretty much every type of rehab at that ankle that is available to them, so I can’t fault the staff. Knowing Bradford’s personality, I imagine he is pestering the coaches every day to let him do more. So, I guess we will just have to wait and see. There’s really nothing else we can do, about Bradford or about the rest of the team.

I think part of the problem is the offensive line hasn’t played nearly as well as the coaches expected, and if the entire offense was based around the idea that the O-Line would be able to at least be adequate in pass-blocking, then I don’t think you can throw all of the offensive blame on the coach. I certainly think the coaches are partly to blame, but if McD spent an entire offseason developing an offense and his line completely underachieves, I don’t know if it’s all on him. With that being said, at some point there has to be an adjustment made based on what we have to work with. Continue reading on next page.
