In even more proof that this is a new era of St. Louis Rams football, the organization and GM Les Snead have decided to revamp the scouting department. Snead has gone back to his Atlanta roots and hired Ran Carthon as the new Director of Pro Personnel and Taylor Morton as Director of College Scouting. Both men worked with Snead in the Falcons organization before jumping to St. Louis.

This is good news for the Rams. It’s no secret that our scouting department hasn’t exactly set the world on fire over the last several seasons, while the Falcons are known as one of the better scouting franchises in the game. We needed new blood, and this is a good start. Not only that, but this is further evidence that this team is heading in a new direction. There’s no way to know for sure if these guys are the answer, but we do know that what we have had here hasn’t been working. I’m willing to give Snead the benefit of the doubt, because things really can’t get any worse.
