]]> The St. Louis Rams 2009 NFL Draft will heavily depend on the 2009 NFL Free agent period which will begin on February 27th. The current list of St. Louis Rams Free agents is below. Who do you think the Rams should hold on to? The Rams placed their franchise tag on Oshiomogho Atogwe this past week. Atogwe will make 6.34 million in 2009, while the Rams are trying to sign him to a long term deal. With Steve Spagnolo and the Rams new coaching staff in place I look for most of these players to be let go. Other than Ron Bartell done of the others should be untouchable. The Rams need a serious upgrade to the current talent on their roster. I look forward to seeing the moves they make prior to the draft.

QB Brock Berlin – The Rams need two better backups than Trent Green and Brock Berlin
RB Samkon Gado – Not needed
RB Travis Minor – Not needed
KR/WR Dante Hall – Not needed
WR Dane Looker – Great leader and veteran on the team. A great 6th wide receiver if you can afford to keep him.
OG Richie Incognito – Not needed, love him or hate him it is time to cut the cancers.
OG Mark Setterstrom – Has played strong when in the lineup and provides nice back up and depth.
OT Brandon Gorin – Not needed, need a stronger player at Tackle.
OL Adam Goldberg – Also played strong when in the lineup and provides nice back up and depth. Could be a starting Gaurd in 2009.
