Running back Todd Gurley continued his torrid pace in 2018 against the Broncos. He rushed for 208 yards on 28 carries while also having two receptions for another 17 yards.

Without a doubt, the Rams are not 6-0 without Gurley. As good as the offense has been, even bordering on the explosive, the running game is proving to be the best and most consistent part of it.

Gurley is having an MVP kind of season and is currently on pace to rush for 2,320 and 29 touchdowns. What the 2017 Offensive Player of the Year did last season he’s doing even better this season. In his first six games last year he had 521 yards rushing, 245 yards receiving, and seven touchdowns.

In 2018 he has 623 yards rushing, 247 yards receiving and already has 11 touchdowns.

The Rams offense wasn’t as potent in Week 6 as they had been the previous 5. But Gurley neutralizes that. When Goff has a pedestrian kind of day, which given the past few weeks, makes Sunday just that, Los Angeles still has a fighters chance.

LA showed elements won’t get in their way. The Broncos made a run at them late in the fourth quarter, but don’t let the final score full you as it was never that close. Gurley made sure of that.

Gurley – A plus.
