Los Angeles Rams: 3 Grades for their Week 6 win against the Broncos
By Steve Rivera
The Rams defense has been anything but great. Then again, when your offense often resembles a video game, being good can be good enough.
Week 6 had them going against a Broncos offense that wasn’t very good, and they only made the game compelling in the last few minutes or so. As a unit, the Rams had two sacks, one by Lamarcus Joyner, and one from Aaron Donald.

If there is a concern in Los Angeles it’s that the defense can be had. Through 6 weeks, teams have been able to run against them, and quarterbacks can pass on their secondary. For all the fanfare that accompanied the big ticket free agents like Marcus Peters, Ndamukong Suh, and Aqib Talib who is out with an injury, the results haven’t been as expected.
Then again as I said in the beginning, with this offense able to score in bunches and almost at will, being simply “good” on defense has proven to be good enough.
Against Case Keenum, the Rams defense wasn’t anything we haven’t seen this season. Fortunately Week 7 at the San Francisco 49ers may not require a Herculean effort either.
That may not be OK as the Rams continue through 2018. At some point the hype needs to actually materialize.
