4. Janoris Jenkins

When looking at how much of a mess the New York Giants are turning out to be with only one win to show heading into Week 9, a fresh start on a new team could be the best option for Janoris Jenkins, who has seen his name thrown around in recent trade rumors. Even better for Jenkins, if the Giants were to trade him to a team like the Rams or another serious contender, it would make the cornerback’s season a lot more enjoyable than it’s been through the first two months.

Coincidentally, Jenkins spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Rams back during their St. Louis days before signing with the Giants in free agency prior to the start of the 2016 season. At the time, Jenkins was viewed as one of the top cornerbacks in the league, and there’s a reason why so many teams have been linked to him in recent weeks that could use some help at the cornerback position.

Between Marcus Peters struggling at times along with Aqib Talib continuing to recover from an injury, adding another cornerback isn’t a terrible idea for Los Angeles, especially when looking at some of the recent performances by the defense. Jenkins claims he wants to stick around, but at this point in his career, why wouldn’t he embrace joining a strong contender like the Rams?
