1. Rams can be better prepared for potential January showdown

By the time January rolls around if these two teams continue to dominate opponents the way they have, chances are Sunday will end up being the first of two meetings between the Rams and Saints. In fact, if Los Angeles happens to square off against New Orleans with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, one can only imagine the intensity from that game when seeing all of the back-and-forth scoring from Sunday’s contest.

The Rams knew the Saints were going to be quite the handful since there’s a reason why the team is now sitting on top of the NFC standings with seven wins in a row, but Week 9 made it clear that Los Angeles didn’t exactly do the best job preparing for the matchup. With that being said, one of the positive factors over a game like this is the Rams can use what took place in the loss as a way to learn from their mistakes, and use this to their advantage in January if these two teams happen to meet again.

To be the best, a team needs to take down the best, and Los Angeles learned the hard way this weekend that New Orleans may be the top team standing in their way of representing the NFC in this year’s Super Bowl. At least by the time January rolls around, the Rams will hopefully be much better prepared than they were for the Saints on Sunday with hopefully better results.
