3. Preventing Mahomes from recording touchdowns

From a realistic standpoint, the Rams know it will nearly be impossible to keep Mahomes out of the end zone during Monday’s game since there’s a reason why he’s one of the early favorites to take home MVP honors along with Gurley. Not to mention, when looking at how the defense of Los Angeles in general has struggled for the most part this season when it comes to opponents scoring points, there is some concern about the kind of game Mahomes is going to have in Week 11.

With 31 touchdown passes to his name through 10 games, one can only imagine what the final total is going to be once the end of December arrives. And as much as Rams fans would love to see Gurley take home the honors after falling just short a year ago, no one would really be all that surprised if it was Mahomes who did end up winning the award since he’s been putting up video game numbers at times.

Whether it happens to be the fact that he’s tossed at least four touchdown passes in five games so far or the six-touchdown game he put together against the Pittsburgh Steelers back in Week 2, Mahomes has quite the impressive resume for 2018. Then again, when seeing how the Arizona Cardinals were able to hold him to throwing just two touchdown passes in Week 10, maybe there is hope for the Rams to keep Mahomes in check.
