The Rams managed 23 points in their Week 6 win against the Broncos, and 29 when the played the Packers. That 23 in Denver may be a point total to target in Week 14 as anything lower would favor a Bears win. Chicago happens to be 8-0 when holding teams to 22 points or less. They are also 0-4 when giving up 23 or more.

Is this the week the Bears and Rams break a few trends? If it is, this looks to be the week it happens.

Keeping the Rams in the 20’s or anything close to the outside temperature at Soldier Field aligns Chicago for a big win. And after 10 games where Los Angeles has scored 30 or more points, doing just that last week in Detroit was no easy task. Toss in the variable of playing a solid defense led by Khalil Mack, and the planets may be lining up for a big upset in Week 14.

Sunday night in Chicago has the feel of a tough slog. Is LA capable of grinding out a win? Maybe, as the Rams haven’t faced a lot of adversity over 12 games. With the exception of their one loss at New Orleans, it’s hard to find a game where you thought Los Angeles wasn’t nearly a sure lock.

For the record, I picked the Rams to lose at the Saints, and against the Chiefs. While I expected a shootout against Kansas City and a high scoring game against New Orleans, I’ve never seen a low scoring affair the Rams would play in.

Sunday night will be that night.

Next. Aaron Donald should be, but won't likely be MVP. dark

The Rams won’t score more than 30.
Chicago will win a game giving up more than 22 points.
