The Los Angeles Rams spent two weeks on the road and went 1-1 against the NFC North. In both games the Rams looked a bit out of sync, appearing a bit sluggish against the Detroit Lions and absolutely awful against the Bears.

For quarterback Jared Goff, getting back home to the friendly confines of the Los Angeles Coliseum will and should be a needed boost for the third year quarterback. Against the Bears, he would have a night he and fans would just as soon forget, throwing for only 180 yards on 20 of 44 with zero touchdowns and a whopping four interceptions.

While fans may have no issue, or are simply ignoring some potential warning signs, the Rams NEED Goff to get back to his game. His timing has been off, and the offense has looked out of sorts since coming back from the bye week. For someone who would sneak into some MVP talk after the win against Kansas City, a rebound game is needed just to feel good about where his game is and is going.

Understanding bad games happen, Goff can’t be in the process of starting a trend. For those who think this all much about nothing, note a 16 game schedule doesn’t allow for a lot of things to get sideways. With three games to go and home field advantage throughout the playoffs still possible, Goff getting right is not just timely, it’s critical.
